Anthogen expands CardiFit pilot with three regional health systems

Anthogen today announced the expansion of its CardiFit at-home cardiac rehabilitation program with three new regional health systems, adding roughly 600 patients across the Midwest and Southeast and bringing the enrolled cohort above the 1,000-patient milestone.

Each partner site will run a Phase III protocol that integrates CardiFit's adaptive coaching engine with the health system's existing cardiac rehab service line. Cardiologists, exercise physiologists, and nurse navigators retain full visibility into patient progress via the clinician dashboard.

"At-home cardiac rehab is no longer a fringe option — it's where the evidence is pointing," said Dr. K. Hulme, Anthogen's Health Psychologist. "The new pilots let us quantify outcomes at scale and refine the experience for patients who would otherwise miss rehab entirely."

Anthogen expects to publish interim results from the expanded cohort in the fourth quarter, with a focus on adherence, readmission, and patient-reported quality-of-life measures.

ARTA Health System adds JointFit module for orthopedic recovery

JointFit, the newest module in the ARTA Health System, launches today with pre-operative conditioning and post-operative recovery tracks for knee and hip replacement.

The module was co-developed with a panel of orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists, and includes computer-vision-guided range-of-motion checks, daily pain and swelling capture, and adaptive home-exercise progression.

JointFit shares the same ARTA infrastructure as CardiFit — a single clinician dashboard, the same adherence engine, and the same direct-to-patient delivery model — making it straightforward for existing health-system partners to add the program alongside their cardiac service line.

Peer-reviewed results: 89% adherence with at-home cardiac rehab

Twelve-month outcome data from the first four health systems to deploy CardiFit has been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed cardiac rehabilitation journal.

Across 412 patients enrolled in the at-home program, weekly session adherence reached 89% — compared with 63% historically reported for traditional in-clinic rehab in matched populations. Thirty-day cardiac readmissions in the cohort were 62% lower than the health systems' baselines.

The paper attributes the result to three factors: removing the transportation and scheduling barriers of in-clinic visits, the adaptive coaching engine that personalizes intensity day to day, and the always-available chat with a real care coach during the critical first eight weeks of recovery.

Anthogen closes Series A, led by a strategic healthcare fund

Anthogen has closed its Series A financing, led by a strategic healthcare-focused fund with participation from existing investors. Proceeds will fund expansion of the ARTA module library, additional clinical evidence generation, and the build-out of the U.S. commercial team.

The round closes a year that saw CardiFit deployment quadruple and the FDA accept the company's pre-submission for the next ARTA module.

"Series A lets us move from proof to scale," said Daniel Nadis, CEO of Anthogen. "The clinical evidence is in; the demand from health systems is in. Our job now is to make sure every patient who needs an ARTA program can get one."

Sep 2025 · Regulatory

FDA pre-submission accepted for the next ARTA module

The FDA has accepted Anthogen's Pre-Submission for the next ARTA module, confirming the regulatory pathway for a condition-specific program currently in late-stage internal development.

Pre-Sub feedback aligned with Anthogen's planned study design and predicate-device approach, and the company expects to begin its pivotal study in the first half of next year.

Anthogen's regulatory strategy across all ARTA modules emphasizes real-world evidence collected continuously from the at-home program, complementing traditional clinical-trial data.

Jun 2025 · Recognition

Anthogen named to the Digital Health 50

Anthogen has been named to the annual Digital Health 50 list, recognizing the fifty private digital-health companies most likely to shape the next decade of care delivery.

Analysts cited Anthogen's clinical evidence, the at-home adherence outcomes reported by CardiFit partner sites, and the modular ARTA platform that lets new condition programs launch without rebuilding patient-facing infrastructure.
